Galaxy S23 vs. Pixel 7: display, appearance,& durability.

If the camera bulge hadn’t been eliminated, which results in a more streamlined design, the Samsung Galaxy S23 would have had a look identical to the Galaxy S22. Its 6.1-inch display makes it comparable to the iPhone in size, and it is constructed of high-quality materials like glass (more on that later) and metal.

In contrast, there is the Pixel 7. It has the characteristic camera bar at the back and the same hole-punch design as the Pixel 6, giving it a somewhat comparable appearance. With 6.3 inches, it’s a bit smaller than the Pixel 6, and the camera bar is encased in metal rather than glass.

Google Pixel

Both of these devices have a smooth AMOLED display around the front. The sharp contrast between them is caused by how fluid their displays are. At a variable 120Hz refresh rate that matches the Pixel 7 Pro’s, the S22 already had a superior display than the Pixel 7, and we’re concerned that gap will only widen with the S23. The Galaxy S23 has all the same capabilities as the S22, with the addition that it is now brighter. Although Google’s display is good, it simply cannot compete.

In comparison to the Gorilla Glass Victus on the Pixel 7, the S23 has the latest Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Again, the Pixel isn’t bad, but the Galaxy S23 outperforms it.

Only the design makes the Pixel truly unique in this context. It is that camera bar.

Performance, battery life, and charging of the Pixel 7 versus Galaxy S23.

The Galaxy S23 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This processor is the best and most modern one available for Android phones, and it has been enhanced specifically for Samsung. On the S23, 8GB of RAM means you won’t be lacking anything. The Tensor 2 processor from Google is a part of the Pixel 7. Because it was designed especially for AI applications, it performs worse than comparable Android phones in simulated benchmarks. That isn’t a problem because the phone is still really quick to use.

It’s difficult to predict which would win on battery power before using either device. We’ll tentatively give it to the Galaxy S23 in this situation. The overheating and power drain issues with Google’s Tensor chips have been present across generations.

Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Pixel 7: cameras.

Without a thorough study, it’s difficult to determine which phone performs better in terms of its camera. The camera on the highly praised Pixel 7 is actually impressive. Since the Pixel 6, Google has adopted a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide. It consistently outperforms its price range, in large part because of software.

Samsung merely provides more in this instance than Google. Images taken by the 50-megapixel main camera on the S23 are near enough to Google’s that you won’t mind. Wider photos will be captured by its ultrawide lens, and Google’s super-res zoom cannot match with a zoom camera’s optical zoom.

Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Pixel 7: Software & features.

Android 13 runs on the Galaxy S23 and the Pixel 7. The Google version that runs on the Pixel has very strong Material You inspirations in every part of the program, giving it a professional appearance and feel. Even while Samsung’s One UI 5.0 combines Material You themes with more Samsung-specific aesthetics, it is nevertheless incredibly durable and practical. A number of well-liked stock apps that sync with Windows versions are among the many programs and functionality that Samsung packs into its Android overlay that you won’t find on Google’s. Speaking of Windows, the Your Phone software allows you to utilize Samsung’s apps on your computer. Google claims to be developing an Android 13 version for Pixels and Chromebooks, although the company has not yet released it.
